OVERVIEW

Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in multiple
        Hitachi products.

IMPACT

Hitachi has made statements regarding the following products:

o Cosminexus, Processing Kit for XML, and Hitachi Developer's Kit:

"A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Cosminexus, Processing
Kit for XML, and Hitachi Developer's Kit for Java... The problem
above might occur if an invalid GIF file is imported and processed" [1]

        o JP1/File Transmission Server/FTP:

"Multiple vulnerabilities exist in JP1/File Transmission Server/FTP.
Hackers can exploit these vulnerabilities and execute any command
          they want to, etc" [2]

        o JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 View
          JP1/Integrated Management View
          and JP1/Cm2/SNMP System Observer:

"There is a problem where JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 - View,
JP1/Integrated Management - View, and JP1/Cm2/SNMP System Observer
abnormally terminate when an invalid GIF file is displayed." [3]

MITIGATION

The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest versions of these
        products. [1,2,3]
