OVERVIEW
Xerox has released a security bulletin detailing a Denial of Service
vulnerability in the LPD protocol handling on multiple WorkCentre
devices.
IMPACT
The vendor supplied the following details:
"An LPD protocol handling vulnerability exists in the firmware for
the products listed below. If exploited, this vulnerability could
cause a denial of service by crashing the device, although power
cycling the device will recover from this attack. Customer and user
passwords are not exposed." [1]
MITIGATION
The vendor has supplied updated firmware for the affected WorkCentre
devices. Links to the appropriate updates for each model can be found
