OVERVIEW

        Pidgin 2.6.1 has been released correcting a security vulnerability.


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following information regarding this
        vulnerability:
        
        "Fix a crash when some users send you a link in a Yahoo IM" [1]
        
        CVE-2009-3025 [2] has been assigned to this vulnerability.


MITIGATION

        Users can download Pidgin 2.6.1 from the vendor's website. [3]
