IMPACT Through the use of a specially crafted URL, this vulnerability could allow an attacker to bypass a security check when verifying a user requested password reset. This resulted in the "...first account without a key in the database (usually the admin account)..." having its password reset and emailed to the owner of the account. [1] MITIGATION The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of WordPress.
