Comment: Microsoft have advised that customers who are up to date on their
security updates are protected from known attacks related to this
out-of-band release.
OVERVIEW
Microsoft will be releasing two out-of-band security patches for
their products on Wednesday 29 July 2009 at:
4:00 am - AEST (ACT, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria)
3:30 am - ACST (SA, NT)
2:00 am - AWST (WA)

IMPACT
Microsoft will be releasing two security bulletins:
Critical:
- one for Internet Explorer
Moderate:
- one for Visual Studio
MITIGATION
AusCERT advises that system administrators consider patching their
machines as quickly as possible following their release by Microsoft.
Bulletin information will be available from the Microsoft web site
soon after their release, and AusCERT will be distributing bulletins
to AusCERT members on Tuesday.
