OVERVIEW
A vulnerability has been identified in IBM Websphere Application
Server 6.1 and 7.0, which could be exploited to bypass security
restrictions.
IMPACT
A WS-Security policy set at operation level does not properly handle
inbound requests that lack a SOAPAction or WS-Addressing Action.
A remote attack could bypass security restrictions due to this flaw
in JAX-WS applications [1, 2].
MITIGATION
The vendor recommends applying the latest Fix Pack for IBM Websphere
Application Server [3].
