OVERVIEW:
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance software was found to have a
security vulnerability when configured to accept Clientless SSL VPN
connections.
IMPACT:
If a user is tricked into visiting a malicious CIFS or FTP site,
an attacker may be able to procure user credentials via phishing
or spoofing attacks, due to insufficient warnings and restrictions.
This vulnerability affects Cisco ASA Adaptive Security Appliance
Software versions prior to 8.0.4(34), 8.1.2(25) and 8.2.1(3). [1]
MITIGATION:
The vendor recommends that administrators apply the appropriate
updates, available to download from their website. [2]
