OVERVIEW:
IBM have confirmed a security vulnerability in AIX 5.3.
IMPACT:
The vendor has provided the following details regarding this
vulnerability:
"Portmapper can hang causing NFS, NIS, or other subsystems which
depend upon portmapper to also hang." [1]
MITIGATION:
An interim fix has been released to address this vulnerability, as
is available for download from the vendor's website. [2]
