OVERVIEW:
A critical security vulnerability has been corrected in phpMyAdmin.
IMPACT:
The vendor has provided the following information regarding this
vulnerability:
"Setup script used to generate configuration can be fooled using a
crafted POST request to include arbitrary PHP code in generated
configuration file. Combined with ability to save files on server,
this can allow unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code."

This vulnerability exists only in versions 3.x before 3.1.3.2. [1]
MITIGATION:
To correct this vulnerability upgrade to version 3.1.3.2 which was
the latest version of the 3.x branch at the time of this
publication. Version 3.1.3.2 is available for download from the
vendor's website. [2]
Alternatively you can apply the patches recommended on the vendor's
advisory. [1]
