OVERVIEW:
A vulnerability has been identified in Novell NetIdentity prior to
version 1.2.4.
IMPACT:
This vulnerability could potentially allow the execution of arbitrary
code as a result of a flaw that "...exists within xtangent.exe during
the handling of RPC messages over the XTIERRPCPIPE named pipe."
Successful exploitation could allow "... remote attackers to
dereference an arbitrary pointer which can be leveraged to execute
code under the context of the system user." [1]
MITIGATION:
The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of Novell
NetIdentity. [2]
