OVERVIEW:
Two vulnerabilities have been identified in Novell Client for Windows
4.x.
IMPACT:
CVE-2006-2612:
Novell Client for Windows 4.8 and 4.9 allow unrestricted access to
the clipboard, allowing an unauthorised user with physical access
to paste the contents into the User Name field in the login
prompt. [1]
CVE-2008-2145:
Local users can cause a denial of service and possibly execute
arbitrary code via a stack-based overflow in the
"forgotten password dialog" Novell Client 4.91 SP4. [1]
MITIGATION:
It is recommended to upgrade to the Post-SP4 Login Files 9 patch. [1]
