OVERVIEW:

       ModSecurity 2.5.9 has been released correcting two security
       vulnerabillities.


IMPACT:

       The vendor has provided the following information regarding these
       vulnerabilities:

       * "Fixed PDF XSS issue where a non-GET request for a PDF file would 
         crash the Apache httpd process." [1]

       * "Fixed parsing multipart content with a missing part header name 
         which would crash Apache." [2]


MITIGATION:

       Version 2.5.9 corrects both of these vulnerabilities and can be 
       downloaded from the vendor's website. [3]
