OVERVIEW:
A vulnerability has been identified in Apple QuickTime Player 7.5.5
and Apple iTunes 8.0.2.20.
IMPACT:
This vulnerability could potentially allow the remote execution of
arbitrary code through specially-crafted .MOV files. [1] Exploit code
for this vulnerability has been made publicly available.
MITIGATION:
As there is currently no update to address either of these packages,
users can set the default program for .MOV files to open with an
alternative player. Additionally users should not open .MOV files
from unknown or untrusted sources.
