Date: 20 November 2008

Water, water everywhere...

Whilst there was certainly plenty of excitement in AusCERT's home town of Brisbane with storms and flooding it has on the whole been pretty quiet in the security world this week.

Much excitement has been generated by Microsoft's announcement that they're introducing "Morro", a free anti-virus/anti-malware product.

In news closer to home AusCERT took part in Computer Security Day alongside the Australian Information Security Association and Information Security Institute from QUT. Talks were conducted at Customs House with a variety of speakers, some free goodies and food. We would like to thank all those who attended and presented to make CSD 2008 such a success.

Regards,

Patrick
