Adobe vulnerabilities and a friendly reminder

Date: 06 November 2008

Greetings,

A number of vulnerabilities have been detected in a number of Adobe products, and updates have been released to correct these. These Adobe packages affected include Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Pagemaker. It is highly recommended that you upgrade to the latest versions of these packages.

As mentioned last week, it is extremely important to ensure that you have patched any Windows based machines so that they are not vulnerable to the recent Microsoft MS08-067 vulnerability, detailed previously in our (AL-2008.0110) bulletin. New and existing malware is continuing to target this vulnerability.

Additionally, registrations for Computer Security Day, which is being held in Brisbane are still open. This is a free event, so if you are interested in attending, please take a look at: http://www.auscert.org.au/csd

Regards,
Jonathan
