OVERVIEW:
The AIX swcons command contains a buffer overflow vulnerability
when handling long strings in its input. This potentially allows
a local attacker to elevate privileges to root.
Note that by default this binary can only be executed by users
in the "system" group.
IMPACT:
A local user in the "system" group may gain root privileges.
MITIGATION:
IBM has produced a fix for this issue. [1][2]
