OVERVIEW:
Public exploit code is available for a recently announced vulnerability
[1][2] in the driver for Orinoco based AirPort cards.
No patch is currently available, and Apple have not released
details of affected versions.
IMPACT:
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability is reported to result
in a denial of service condition on the vulnerable host. Given the
nature of the described vulnerability [1][2], arbitrary code execution
may also be possible.
Exploit code has been released as a module for the MetaSploit Framework
[4].
MITIGATION:
Users are advised to disable the AirPort wireless card when not in
use until a patch becomes available for this issue.
