OVERVIEW:

Patches are avaialble for IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.x
and 6.0.2.x which correct several vulnerabilities.

IMPACT:

According to the release notes for IBM WebSphere Application Server
6.0.2 [1] this patch corrects the mod_rewrite vulnerability [2] in
the IBM HTTP Server and 13 other vulnerabilities in the "Security"
        component.

According to external reports [3] the patches for IBM WebSphere
6.1.0 fix the information disclosure vulnerability described by
CVE-2006-4223. However, this patch contains other (possibly
        security related) fixes [4].

MITIGATION:

Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.x should apply
Fix Pack 15 [5] to upgrade to 6.0.2.15.

Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.x should apply
Fix Pack 2 [6] to upgrade to 6.1.0.2
