Managing Risk Associated with Online ID Theft for Government and Providers of e-Government Services

Government agencies that supply e-government services need to be aware of the increased threat and risk to users of e-government services. Internet based attackers are seeking to access a range of personal identity information for the purposes of supporting other forms of crime including financial fraud.

This paper identifies risks associated with the supply of e-government services and outlines risk management strategies.
