Comment: Administrators can check if their system is vulnerable by examining
the httpd.conf file and determining whether mod_isapi has been
enabled.
OVERVIEW
IBM have released a fix to the mod_isapi module for IBM HTTP Server
correcting a security vulnerability.
IMPACT
The vendor has provided the following information regarding this
vulnerability:
"Repeated malicious requests to URLs configured to be handled by
mod_isapi can cause errors, crashes, or remote execution." [1]
This affects Windows users of version 6.0 or 6.1 of IBM HTTP
Server who have enabled the use of mod_isapi (not in use by
default). [1]
MITIGATION
Users can disable the affected module or apply the fix provided
by IBM. [1]
