OVERVIEW
An update for Squid Proxy Cache has been released fixing a data
validation error.
IMPACT
Due to incorrect data validation Squid is vulnerable to a denial of
service while processing a specially crafted DNS packet. [1]
MITIGATION
This issue has been fixed in versions Squid 3.0.STABLE22 and 3.1.0.16.
It is recommended that you update to a corrected release as soon as
possible.[1]
