OVERVIEW
Version 1.2.3 of Wireshark has been released to fix three (3) Denial
of service vulnerabilities.
IMPACT
The vendor has stated that this release fixes the following issues:
o "The Paltalk dissector could crash on alignment-sensitive
processors." [1]
o "The DCERPC/NT dissector could crash." [1]
o "The SMB dissector could crash." [1]
MITIGATION
The vendor has made version 1.2.3 available for download on their
website. [2]
Other vendors which package Wireshark are expected to update shortly.
