Description:
Linux Kernel is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a NULL pointer
dereference in ecryptfs/inode.c. By placing mutt's tmpdir in an eCryptfs mount,
a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a kernel OOPS.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
Apply the patch for this vulnerability, available from the Linux Kernel GIT

Local Denial of Service Vulnerability
* CVE-2009-2908: The d_delete function in fs/ecryptfs/inode.c in eCryptfs
in the Linux kernel 2.6.31 allows local users to cause a denial of
service (kernel OOPS) and possibly execute arbitrary code via unspecified
vectors that cause a negative dentry and trigger a NULL pointer
